Carter/Huffman Wedding

During my time visiting my hometown of Doniphan in November, I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Courtney Carter and Shawn Huffman. I have known Courtney since we were just little girls in our frilly Sunday School dresses and Shawn and I worked together in the music department of West Point UPC since we were about 14 years old. I was so thrilled to get the message from Courtney asking me to photograph their special day.
They planned a simple, but elegant wedding and I was very impressed with how well Courtney kept her cool even when things (like receiving the wrong color bouquet and the fact that it was pouring rain outside) went wrong. I know when I got married I stressed about every little detail that I was barely able to enjoy my own wedding. So, kudos to Courtney for keeping a level head.
It was a wonderful ceremony filled with some beautiful moments. You know what's so great about pictures? You can tell a story without using any words. So, now, I present to you Shawn and Courtney's wedding story.
